Nothing leaves your browser.

1. Operator

This website is operated by Solid Grid Systems GmbH, Bundesallee 187, 10717 Berlin, Germany.

2. What this site does

CRATE is a static website. It serves pages, images and audio files, and it lets you play the drum kits in your browser before downloading them. There is no login, no account, no newsletter and no form on this site — we have no way to collect your name, address or any other detail you do not email us directly.

3. Audio stays in your browser

The pack player loads the kit's WAV files into your browser and plays them there. Sequencing, pitch and everything else you hear happens on your device. Nothing you do in the player is transmitted to us, recorded, or stored — closing the tab discards it. The site does not request microphone access.

4. Server log data

When you open a page, our hosting provider automatically records the technical information needed to operate the service: IP address, request timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status, transferred data volume, referrer, and user agent (browser/OS). Processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR — our legitimate interest in stable operation and IT security. These logs are deleted or anonymised after no more than 14 days.

5. No cookies, no cross-site tracking

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising pixels. It embeds nothing from a third-party domain — fonts and scripts come from our own — so no other company learns that you were here. Nothing about your visit is profiled, sold or shared.

6. Reach measurement

We count how the site is used, with software we host on our own infrastructure. It is cookieless and works without any device identifier: each request contributes an anonymous, aggregated data point — page, referrer, browser, operating system, screen size and country, derived from your IP address without storing it. We also count which kits get played and downloaded, so we know which sounds are worth making more of. None of it is linked to a person, none of it can be traced back to you, and none of it leaves our servers. Processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding reach). Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, this needs no consent banner under Sect. 25 TDDDG.

7. Downloads

Downloading a kit is an ordinary file request — no email address, no account, no gate. It appears in the server logs of section 4 and as an anonymous counter in section 6, and nowhere else. Downloads are counted, never attributed to a person.

8. Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77). Given how little this site processes, in practice these rights concern the server log data in section 4 — the measurement in section 6 holds nothing that could be linked back to you to begin with. For any request, write to hi@solidgridsystems.com.

9. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service or to legal requirements. The version published here applies to your next visit.
